Tanunda Pines Golf Club has been presented with a Women’s Australian Open framed pin flag, signed by the 2017 Champion Ha Na Jang, after winning the championship sweep.

To increase local interest in the 2017 Women’s Australian Open, Golf SA conducted a sweep, where all 146 affiliated SA Golf Clubs, were randomly drawn a player competing in the Championship.

The Club whose player won the Championship would receive a Women’s Open pin flag signed by the Champion while other prizes (10 days passes to next years championship) were awarded for second, third, greens in regulation and putting average. Prizes were awarded to the following clubs:

Tanunda Pines Golf Club situated in the mid north district 80 km north east of Adelaide drew Jang from Korea, a popular winner, who went on to win the title by three strokes finishing 10-under.

Golf SA Board Member Bill Klaebe presented the prize to the club on Tuesday 11 July at the Tanunda Pines Breast Cancer Golf Day.

The weather was fabulous, as was the overall enthusiasm for the goal of the day – to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. There were 87 playing participants and 94 people for lunch, and with the generous support of this event from businesses and individuals: raffles, silent auctions, and general donations Tanunda Pines were able to raise over $5000 for Breast Cancer Research $1500 more than last year’s great result. - Event Results
